What is a funnel?
A funnel measures how many users complete each step of a multi-step flow and where they drop out. It tells you where users leave; replay tells you why.

A funnel is an analytics report that counts how many users reach each successive step of a defined flow, such as sign-up or checkout, and shows the proportion lost between steps.
Why it matters
Funnels are how product teams find the expensive step. If most people who reach the address form never reach payment, that form is where the money goes. The report is precise about where and silent about why: it cannot tell you whether the form was confusing, broken or slow.
Replay picks up where the funnel stops. Filter to sessions that reached the address form and did not continue, watch a handful, and the cause usually appears within minutes: a validation message nobody understood, a rage click on a button that never enabled. The analytics versus replay post goes deeper.
How AnyReplay handles it
AnyReplay does not include a funnel report; it is the tool you open once the funnel has told you where to look. Each recorded chunk carries pageCount, hasError and hasRageClick flags, so you can narrow the session list to journeys that stalled, and identify({ userId, email }) lets you find the session behind a specific complaint. Because recordings are DOM data with real text, a reviewer in another language can still read every label through session translation. Product managers typically keep both tools open side by side.
