Sharing One Recording by Link

Send someone without an AnyReplay account a link that plays one recording, with an expiry, a revoke button and nothing else of your organisation attached.

A share link lets someone without a seat — a CTO, a developer at a partner — watch one recording in the AnyReplay player. It opens that recording and nothing else: no other session, no project, no notes, no search.

  1. Open the session

Open any recording and press the Share link icon beside the star in the header.

  2. Choose how long it works

One day, seven days (the default) or thirty days. Thirty is the most a link can have.

  3. Decide about the console

Include the console and network rows is off by default. Console lines and request addresses can hold tokens or personal data even after the SDK's redaction, so tick it only for someone who has to debug.

  4. Copy it

Press Create link. The link is copied and shown once; AnyReplay keeps only a fingerprint of it, so it cannot be shown again. If you lose it, revoke it and make another.

Owners, admins, moderators and members can make and revoke links; viewers cannot. A session can have up to 20 live links. Making and revoking a link are written to the audit log.

A link shows the recording as it stood when the link was made. If the visitor was still on your site, whatever they did after you pressed Create link is not part of it; make a new link to send the rest.

A link stops working when it expires, when someone revokes it from the session's Share link dialog, when the recording is deleted (by hand, by retention, by a privacy request or with its project), when the member who made it leaves the organisation or becomes a viewer, and when an owner or admin turns off Settings → Sharing. All of these look the same to the person holding it: the link does not work. Turning sharing back on revives the links that have neither expired nor been revoked. A member who leaves or becomes a viewer has their links revoked for good: inviting them back or promoting them again does not bring the old links back.

A link looks like https://anyreplay.com/s#…. The part after # is the key, and browsers never send that part to any server, so it does not end up in server logs or in the address other sites are told you came from. Shared pages are not indexed by search engines, are not cached, do not pass their address on to anything they load, and load no analytics.
